CV&Statement

Artist Bio

My identity as a second-generation Korean American woman simultaneously informs my practice as a visual artist and art therapist. I create installations and sculptural garments while utilizing photography and writing to document my experiences with oppression as a form of politicized active participation and as a means to personally dissect intersectionality.

I incorporate imagery and symbols which relate to my cultural heritage and lineage, relationships, personal experiences, and reflect upon the performance of identity and levels of transparency. The relationship of objects and spaces relate to my view of people and the places and systems they inhabit.
